  1. Your lists are always so impressive, especially to those of us with challenges finding the time to read more!

  3. I really enjoyed The Book of Someday. I've got Bellman & Black on my October TBR list too. Seems fitting for this time of year!

  5. Great month! I can't wait to read several of those new releases, especially Wally Lamb, Jhumpa Lahiri, and Donna Tartt.

I was going to try your apple cake pie recipe today, but ran out of time... next weekend for sure!

  6. Yaaay for Doctor Sleep! I own it now, am just waiting for a stretch of time so I can sit down and read it. It looks very good, I've already snuck a look at the first page or so. Glad you enjoyed it so much. I like the look of the 365 slow cooker meals, which I am interested in doing more of. Is it out yet, as you had a galley you looked at?

  7. You've read a good mix of genres. My reading varies on my mood and not on the seasons although I do like a good beach read in the summer.

  8. I've read Burial Rites - will be interested to see what you think. I kind of didn't fit into mainstream opinion!

  9. My reading seems to slow down as the holidays approach. I think I enjoy summer time reads the most. I like your pumpkin image.

  13. It is funny how our tastes in books change with the seasons - I like to dig into meatier titles as Fall and winter approach.

  14. Wow, you got through Doctor Sleep fast - I am impressed! I don't normally change my reading habits with the seasons but another favorite book blogger (GirlXOXO) just reminded me about reading something spooky for October, so I will try to fit that in with my book group books, etc.

    Enjoy your October reading!

  15. You read a nice variety of books last month. I save the creepy books for RIP in the fall and tend to reach for more cookbooks now that it's cooler, but otherwise my reading stays varied year round. I'm still listening to Doctor Sleep and have Bellman & Black coming up this month.
